What We Store in the Cloud (Firebase)

We only store three things in our database:

• Your display name (if you create an account)
• Subscription status (when premium features launch)
• Quotes you've liked (so they sync across devices)

That's it. Nothing else leaves your device.

What Stays on Your Device (Local Storage)

Everything else is stored locally and never sent to our servers:

• Your selected categories (peace, strength, knowledge, devotion)
• Preferred wisdom sources (Bhagavad Gita, Buddhist, Stoic)
• Notification timing preferences
• Daily streak data and app open history
• Sanskrit visibility preference
• All onboarding choices and settings
• Usage analytics (quote views, shares - never sent anywhere)

Anonymous Usage

You can use Atmanic completely anonymously without creating an account. All features work with local storage only. Your liked quotes won't sync across devices, but nothing is stored in the cloud.

Data Usage

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone. We do not use it for advertising. We don't even collect enough data to do any of that.

Notifications

Daily wisdom notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to any server when notifications are triggered. You control everything from your device settings.

Your Rights

You have complete control:

• Clear all local data anytime from Profile settings
• Delete your account to remove display name and liked quotes from our database
• Contact us through Feedback for data deletion requests

Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (Google) only for authentication and storing the three items mentioned above. Firebase is GDPR compliant. We use no analytics services, no tracking SDKs, no advertising networks.
